Last week, our team traveled to Zigong, Sichuan – the heart of China’s cemented carbide industry – for an intensive three-day training program at our factory. Here’s what we learned and why it matters.

What We Did
Over three days, we walked the entire production line from start to finish – from raw powder to finished rotary burs.
The training covered:
Raw material preparation – understanding powder composition, binder ratios, and quality control at the source
Pressing & sintering – observing how green compacts are formed and vacuum-sintered into dense carbide blanks
Silver brazing & shank finishing – learning why flatbottom brazing and Rshank design deliver superior strength and impact resistance
5axis CNC grinding & tooth cutting – seeing how precision tool geometry is achieved on modern equipment
